there's no meaning.
the colours are fading.
memories flashed past one by one,
reflected in your big frightened eyes.
the past hit me one by one,
terrified, i run.
from vibrant hues to subtle blues.
the seasons change from summer to winter.
but no matter the time or clime,
the rain still trickles like tears from our eyes.
morning dew glisten in on the trampled grass.
fluffy clouds breezes through the polluted sky.
the glossy beak brightens the maynah bird.
but the trickles from our eyes adds on to the puffy red eyes.
red the colour of passion.
irony, when all love is lost.
the light is dimmed.
we lose our way.
trust, with all you have.
love, with all you've got.
hate, with all you can resist.
suspicions, with all you cannot.
but prejudice.
it is the scariest.
rejudice.
why dont you like me?
is it the colour of my skin?
the people i'm with?
bias.
against or towards.
it's your call.
it's not up for me to choose,
but for the person who withholds me.
how her soul is,
how hard her heart is,
how she thinks,
how selfish she is.
why do i care about what she thinks?
towards me.
her mind is fixed.
the cold glare she shoots.
narrowly aviods my broken heart.
i love her, thats why.
(new joined poem)
little fishes swim in the sea.
wandering around aimlessly and free.
how i wish i could be.
that little fish in the sea.
fluffy clouds in thesky.
changing its shape and form.
down it trickles and pitter patter.
and forming the breath taking morning dew.
water it seems,
has the most freedom of all.
ice.
hail.
clouds.
vapour,
anything at all.
unlike me.
fishes have less freedom,
but more love.
fisherman may keep you,
in fishtanks and groom you.
floods are hated,
droughts are despised.
i am in a dilemma.
love or freedom,
few have both.
many have to make a choice.
but clouds have both,
fishes have both.
why cant we,
have them as well?
we are humans.
a species too smart for its own good.
advance in technology we have made.
but its taking us away from the simple life.
where freedom and love live in harmony.
the world is now,
beautiful and ugly.
beauty from scenery,
ugliness from human hearts.
yet this beauty.
in the expense of kindness and humanity.
is it worth it?
the world thinks it is.
but i do not.
see through your eyes.
you will see hatred and evil.
evil grows within them all.
like a hidden dragon waiting to emerge.
in their eyes you can see.
a monster burning with fury.
the roar that strikes fear in one's heart.
the claws that arefierce and ruthless.
the heart that is cold and hard.
the monster that is feared by all.
so help us. dear anel.
save us from our plight.
may the simple life we yearn.
be ours again.
the angel is too farawy.
to hear our weak soft pleas.
it hides among clouds,
unhearing and helpless as well.
there.
